Zybersafe keeps offshore data clean

Fighting for safe offshore data

Chritical infrastructure: Danish Zybersafe makes data transmission from offshore to onshore safe. Through the Next Step Challenge program, new customers and markets are explored.

Can you hack into an offshore wind turbine or a production platform?
The scary answer is yes. And if you are not careful, someone will try to do just that.
This is the assessment from Michael Stranau, Sales Executive in Danish Zybersafe, who is working to safeguard the offshore industrys data much better in the near future.

In 2018 Zybersafe is part of Scale-Up denmark powered by Next Step Challenge elite accelerator for offshore industry and the ambition is to get the Zybersafe IT box for secure data transmission out into an even bigger market.
“Our core business is to ensure, that only you have access to your fiber connection between offshore and onshore – that no-one is listening in, and that no one can add data to the connection,” explains Michael Stranau from Zybersafe.

Safety – also in existing data systems
As part of the Next Step Challenge program, Zybersafe benefits from a professional advisory board, consisting of experienced business experts within the offshore industry. One of them is Michael Buhl, Corporate Manager for IT in Rambøll Energy.

“In a modern society, where corporate information flows between sources and borders, onshore and offshore, the information security and control of channels are very important elements,” explains Michael Buhl, Corporate Manager for IT in Rambøll Energy. And adds that Zybersafe introduces a product that eliminates main safety threats by the ‘simple is more (secure)’ approach.

“Zybersafe introduces a product which all kinds of companies easily can implement, to optain a very high safety level. And by participating in this elite training program, Zybersafe has gained valuable insights to the enery industry and they can now obtain a very high position in the market,” he ends.
